I am relearning to use this efficiently and effectively. It is easy to extend and quick to withdraw. The weight is balanced and feels good in my hands and does not task my thin and ladylike wrist when extending it.
I am impressed, I am older and relearning how to use this in defensive and offensive modes.
I like this and I hope others in my age category consider buying one.
Remember this is a tool and a tool to practice self defense with but you have to practice with any self-defense tool for self-protection.

Baton opens smoothly and has good weight. First time i tried to close it i tried on my rubber weight room floor with no success. Have to close it on a solid surface.
